Sinossi/Plot:

Scoprire che un bambino affetto da una malattia genetica degenerativa-come la distrofia muscolare di Duchenne e Becker-provoca una profonda crisi emotiva nei genitori, rendendo vacillante la loro prospettiva di vita e le aspettative. Affrontano un momento molto delicato e difficile, essendo costretti a modificare le speranze e i pensieri che avevano accumulato per il loro bambino fino ad allora. In questo documentario, alcune famiglie di tutto il mondo sono state in grado di trasformare il loro dolore personale nel tentativo di migliorare la vita dei loro figli e di incoraggiarli a sviluppare pienamente il loro potenziale, al di là dell'etichetta limitante della malattia. Hanno anche dimostrato il coraggio e la capacità di trovare uno scopo e una gioia lungo la strada.

Discovering that a child is affected with a degenerative genetic disease-such as Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy-provokes a deep emotional crisis in his parents, making their life perspective and expectations suddenly falter. They face a very delicate and difficult moment, being forced to modify the hopes and thought s they had accrued for their child until then. In this documentary, some families around the world have been able to transform their personal pain in the attempt to improve their children’s lives and to encourage them to fully develop their potential, beyond the limiting label of the disease. They have also demonstrated the courage and the capacity to find a purpose and joy on the way.
