Napoli – May the 18th 2011 - In Vico Equense, one of the most beautiful and suggestive landscapes of Sorrento Coast in Campania Region, the First Edition of “Social World Film Festival” takes place, an international movie competition based on social theme.
The “Social World Film Festival” movie show has to be considered as a moment for cultural and social aggregation and as a place for reflection and denounce too.
The “Social” proposes to follow the same route that the homonymous Association has pursued in the last three years, realizing productions with a social theme and promoting a new movie movement, the “Social Vogue”. The necessity of social activism is expressed by the fact that more people are realizing audio-visual works with a social theme and the most of them are cheap and independent.

Napoli – May the 11th 2011 - The Social World Film Festival with the co-participation of Department of Youth of the Presidency of Council of Ministries, organized a workshop of cinema, television, communication, journalism with social themes, that will take place during the first edition of the movie show in Vico Equense (Sorrento Coast), from 26th to 29th May 2011.
The“Young Media Campus” – this is the workshop’s name – gives to nine young people among 18 and 35 years of age the chance to take part in a series of seminaries edited by professors of The School of Cinema of Naples, by the Campania Region Film Commission and by movie directors of the RAI Fiction “Un Posto al Sole”. Photographers, cameraman and aspirant journalists will be allowed in addiction to make photos, videos, interviews. The works will be published on the website www.cipercinema.com. The three young people with the most votes, each one for a job profile, will gain a scholarship consisting of a training course for the profile chosen (Photography, Camera Operator and Cinema Critics) at the School of Cinema.
